What we collect and why

Quote requests

When you send a request, we keep your contact details (first name, last name, email, phone, language) and your inspection details (property address, type, target date, financing) in order to connect you with the inspectors you select. This information is transmitted only to those inspectors.

Incomplete applications

To improve the service and let you resume a request, we record funnel progress (city, property type, step reached). Contact details (name, email, phone) are sent to our servers only after you click “Next” on the contact step, where the consent text is shown. Before that click, we store only non-identifying progress data.

Site security

Technical rate-limit counters protect the forms from abuse. They are not used to profile you.

Analytics cookies (Google Analytics)

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site (page views, funnel steps, city or property type in aggregate). No name, email, phone number or full address is sent to analytics.

Google Analytics is provided by Google LLC. Analytics data is processed in the United States, outside Quebec. Consent Mode v2 is enabled: analytics and advertising storage stay denied until you choose. You can accept or refuse via the banner or the preferences below.

Retention periods
  • Incomplete inspection drafts: deleted automatically after 90 days.
  • Abandoned quote sessions (never submitted): deleted automatically after 90 days.
  • Requests sent to inspectors: kept for follow-up and our legal obligations, then deleted on request at contact@inspecteurfacile.ca.
  • Rate-limit counters: 7 days.
  • Analytics consent choice: 1 year in your browser (local storage).
  • Google Analytics data: only if you accepted, according to the retention configured at Google.

A daily scheduled job runs the automatic deletions above.

Your rights (Law 25)

In accordance with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Request correction of your data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Withdraw your consent

Write to contact@inspecteurfacile.ca. We will process your request as soon as possible, in accordance with applicable legislation.
